Be creative - Be amazing
Every business now has to have a website, an online presence to showcase products, skills, and services and provide relevant information to clients' past, present, and future.
There is no magic formula for website design and no absolute right or wrong way of doing things. Still, a website is a great opportunity for you to get creative and reflect the styles and attitudes of the business you manage. You only have to compare websites today to those that existed ten years ago to see that the web design industry has travelled a long way.

You need a website! Now what?
Throwing together a basic website is easy; you can do everything yourself online for just a few pounds and get up and running in under an hour. There are loads of web hosting companies out there, and they all offer drag and drop website creation in some form or another. If you have the patience and don't mind typing in the physical content, you will save a fair bit of money and can play around with layouts and styles to your heart's desire.
Most web developers and designers don't write lots of physical computer code; they use pre-made templates and make a few tweaks and changes to fit their client's requirements. This is not bad, as programmers are inherently lazy and repeatedly try to utilise the same piece of computer code. This saves time and is the most efficient way of writing. First, write something great, test it thoroughly, deploy, reuse, it's that simple. If you were building a house from scratch, you would not make individual bricks, windows or roof tiles; you would buy the best products and assemble them in the order you want; building websites use the same principles.
So we have said building websites is straightforward, and that is true if you are using a simple drag and drop template. Still, the real magic is the code that runs behind these systems or the physical coding that the web developer writes for themselves and any integrations or plugins you need. Websites are not written in just one computer language either; even our very basic websites utilise many different code types, HTML, SCSS, CSS, Java, PHP, JSON & MySQL, so unless you are prepared to spend some serious time learning how to write code from scratch the only choice you have is to use a WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) drag and drop template or pay a proficient developer.
Lets build something together
-
01. Brief
You tell us all about your business and what type of website you want; we use these notes throughout the development journey, so it always pays to devote some extra time to this
-
02. Framework
We turn your ideas into a framework drawing, like a flow chart. This ties all the elements required together and makes the new site easier to visualise; only when the framework is complete can we start building.
-
03. Branding
Branding is vital as it reflects the style of the business you run. If you already have logos, colours and fonts, that's great; if not, we will put some ideas together for you.
-
04. Content
The most painful task for most has to be the physical text elements you want to display within the pages of your new website. You may already have some sales brochures or lists of products that we can incorporate; if not, it's out with the word processor and a few late nights.
-
05. Design
Now that we have your branding sorted and lots of lovely text, we can start to design the various elements that make up websites. Maybe you want contact forms, maps and photos, or you want to incorporate videos, animations, or have visitors register their details; these must be crafted and tested to ensure these features are perfect.
-
06. Magic
It's not real magic, just lots of hard work combined with strong coffee and a passion for writing elegant code and creating something extraordinary. We take all of the ingredients collected so far and turn them into a webalicious reality, just like baking a cake but without the washing up.
-
07. Signoff & Release
Once you are happy with the design, and have tested all of the features, we release it to the waiting world.

08. Enjoy
Tell your customers, tell your friends, tell everyone. We can organise email marketing or social media campaigns, Google and Facebook adverts, and more.
