Five-Star IT services in Milton on Stour Dorset including network security and the very latest progressive web apps, web design and SEO.
We living and working in Dorset & Hampshire
We have been in business since 1986 and have travelled to all corners of the British Isles, mainly to
install voice and data networks but also to resolve complex IT and security issues for our wonderful
clients, including an overnight round trip to Glasgow to fix a broken PC that just needed plugging in!
They say that home is where the heart is, well our home is right on the border between Dorset and
Hampshire and so we love both, from quaint and quiet villages and the peaceful New Forest to the historic
docks and the busy towns and cities all right here on our doorstep including Milton on Stour.
We always like to use small local businesses rather than large national and international companies where we can,
and encourage others to do the same, the benefits are manyfold, with some obvious but many you may not
have really thought about.
Did You Know?
Milton on Stour is a small village in North Dorset, England. It lies on the River Stour, a mile north of the town of Gillingham.
The Church of St Simon and St Jude, built in 1868, is a Grade II listed building.
The land at Moordown formed part of the Manor of Christchurch until 1698, when Henry Hyde, 2nd Earl of Clarendon, began selling off parts the manor to fund his son's transvestism and general excesses. By the eighteenth century, the main farm at Moordown was occupied by Henry Hookey - who seems to have been related to the Dean family, who later acquired most of Littledown. The farm was divided up in the nineteenth century and part of it came to vest in the Kemp family, whose sale of land in 1903 resulted in the creation of Evelyn and Naseby Roads. The farm was later renamed "Charminster Farm" and used as a dairy farm by the Hunt family, who remained there until 1978 - but by then, almost all of the land had been sold off. The farmhouse survives, in Homeside Road.
St Mary's Church was rebuilt on a new site in 1833. The interior of the church is quite understated, but does however retain its original fittings. The focus of the church is the stained glass window behind the altar. It was installed in 1975 and includes a combine harvester and a tractor, depicting the farming background of many of the local community.
